Russell Martin Stendal nació en Minneápolis, se educó en el campo misionero en Colombia, América del Sur. En su libro, Secuestro y Reconciliación, relata su experiencia, incluyendo la forma en que Dios obró en los corazones de los rebeldes. Russell ha escrito muchos libros, ha producido videos y ha editado dos traducciones de la Biblia La Reina Valera 2000 en español y la Biblia Jubileo en inglés. Russell es el líder del ministerio Colombia para Cristo, que opera 12 estaciones de radio con más de 100 empleados y compañeros de trabajo, que cubre con el Evangelio gran parte de América Latina. Actualmente antenas nuevas de alta frecuencia transmiten el mensaje del Evangelio en áreas de gran crisis a lo largo de las fronteras de Venezuela, Ecuador, Perú y Brasil, así como también en Colombia. Well, I've bee working through the Spanish edition, La Biblia del Jubileo, and I find it quite excellent, a genuine contender as best Spanish Bible out there. I have yet to find a revisionist update, while the Biblia de Jubileo maintains the beauty and anointing of the 1569 original. On the book itself, I could only find it in perfect paperback, but the paper is superior to the English edition in every way. Fabulous paper ! It has a lovely yellow hue like the Geneva reissue and you'll find no ghosting. I'd really like to see this bound together with the English Jubilee Bible; to me, this would be the ideal format. All things considered, I enthusiastically recommend La Biblia del Jubileo without reservation, and the magnificent paper more than makes up for the binding; after all, we're not reading the binding.I'm really thinking Russell M. Stendal has done a great service for the Body of Christ. A war rages around the text of the Spanish Bible, with most evangelicals choosing the RV1960, the 1909, or the 1865. Many conservative elements, though well-meaning, chamipion points-of-view based on linguistic misunderstandings. I thoroughly reject the RVG for this reason. Those seeking a detailed point-by-point discussion of the issue in either Spanish or English are directed to the writings of Calvin George. What Stendal has accomplished with La Biblia del Jubileo is a conservative redaction of the de Reina text with reference to other Reformation-era translations, including those of Enzinas, Pinada, and Tyndale.
While I will continue reading the King James in English, I suspect that I will be returning again and again to Stendal's redaction of the Biblia del Jubileo. I purchased this book out of curiosity, but I suspect I now have a new weapon in the arsenal. Only time will tell if La Biblia del Jubileo will find a place in the hearts and minds of Spanish-speaking Bible believers, but I sincerely hope it does. Stendal is on to something. The philosophy animating his work can be read in his prefatory comments which I here translate for those interested in this volume:
"Of Casiodoro de Reins's original edition, we have only six copies that survived the bonfires of the Inquisition. But when the devil realized he could not stop subsequent editions of the Sacred Scriptures, he found himself obliged to change his tactics. Taking advantage of the good intentions of many to update, modernize, and simplify the Bible, the enemy managed to sow his tares, partially obscuring the light and truth of the Word of God, little by little dulling the edge of the Christian's sword. It is our intention to present the Word of God in updated spelling and grammar, but with all the power and anointing that was poured-out in the 16th century upon men like Francisco de Enzinas, Juan Pérez de Pinada, Casiodoro de Reina, Cipriano de Valera, and William Tyndale, men chosen by God to be translators of the Bible."

Excelente versión de un libro universal. Me agradó mucho la presentación, la traducción y el texto claro y muy apegado al contexto latinoamericano. El formato interactivo permite ir, además, en forma directa, a los diferentes libros que componen la Biblia. Es muy versátil. Recomiendo descargarla a tu .

A good translation. Rev. Stendal uses some words from Columbia that are different from Mexican or Central American Spanish. But it is easily understood through the context
Me gusta esta version de La Biblia para . Es muy facil de navigar y tambien me gusta la funcion que permite destacar texto (y hasta tiene varios colores de usar). Yo uso esta bibila para estudio biblica en grupo y la redaccion es un poco variada comparada con la version Reina-Valera que usan muchos, pero solo un POCO y no suficiente para confundir. La recomiendo con confianza.
Hermosa traducción, muy parecida a la biblia del Oso, reina valera 1602, solo con un español mas entendible (en lugar de empero dice pero, en lugar de crió dice creó). La traducción podria decir es casi excellente lo unico q me hubiera gustado es que tuviera referencia y concordancia.
